Aginor (Ishar Morrad Chuain)
The Eye of the World, Chapter 50

  • One of the first to break free from the prison.
  • Killed at the Eye of The World, along with Balthamel
  • Reborn as Osan'gar.
  • It is revealed in WH that he is definately Dashiva.  He more than likely died at the end of WH after Elza blew up the hill he was hiding on.

Asmodean (Joar Addam Nessosin)
The Shadow Rising, Chapter 36

  • Allied himself with Lanfear, and was disguised as a gleeman in the Aiel waste.

  • Lanfear trapped him into becoming a teacher for Rand.  To everyone else he was Jasin Natael the Dragon's personal Bard.

  • At the end of the FoH he was killed by an unknown assailant, which has been rumored to be everyone from Moiraine to a Gholam (unlikely).   I believe it was Graendal.  (See the WoT FAQ for more info on this)

Balthamel (Aran'gar, Halima) (Eval Ramman)
The Eye of the World, Chapter 50

  • One of the first to break free from the prison.

  • Killed at the Eye of the World, along with Aginor.

  • Killed the green man at the Eye.

  • Brought back from the grave by the DO as a beautiful borderlander woman, and is now called Aran'gar.  She has slender, long black hair and green eyes.

  • Aran'gar is now with the rebel Aes Sedai disguised as Halima Saranov, she is now Egwene's maid.  She is believed to be the source of Egwene's headaches, and her nightmares.

Be'lal (Duram Laddel Cham)
The Dragon Reborn, Chapter 50

  • Ruled in Tear as the High Lord Samon for a short period of time before he was killed.

  • Called "Envious" by some.

  • Tall athletic man, with close-cropped white hair.

  • A good manipulator.

  • Balefired by Moiraine in the Stone of Tear.

Cyndane
The Path of Daggers, Chapter 12

  • A short young woman with long silver hair, and vivid blue eyes.
  • She seems to strive for every inch of height.
  • Cyndane means "last chance" in the old tongue.
  • She is being held by Moridin by one of two mind traps. The first one is for Moggy.
  • Previously we knew of a second mind trap but it was unknown who it was for.
  • It is revealed in WH that she is Lanfear.  We get to see her point of view and it is mentioned that she is weaker in the power than she used to be, something to do with the Finns. What this means for Moiraine... who knows.

Demandred (Barid Bel Medar)
Lord of Chaos, Prologue

  • Tall and reasonably good looking, except for a hawk nose.

  • Second only to Lews Therin in the Age of Legends, even in the One Power.

  • Was one of Lews Therin's most trusted generals during the War of Power, before he betrayed him and went over to the Dark One.

  • He envied Lews Therin, because of his success.

  • It is not known, only rumored, where he is at or what he is doing.

  • In WH we get a good point of view from Demandred and at the end he sees one of the Asha'man (I think it was Flinn) and he doesn't recognize him whatsoever.  Also Taim mentioned something about taking orders from Demandred.  So that basically solves that mystery.

Graendal (Kamarile Maradim Nindar)
The Fires of Heaven, Prologue

  • Dedicated to sensual pleasure.

  • Though not as beautiful as Lanfear, she is stunning in her own way.

  • Wears clinging gowns that leaves nothing to the imagination, and styles her hair in elaborate bejeweled ringlets.

  • She now has a place in Arad Doman, with servants stolen from among the rich and powerful families of the land.

  • Posing in Arad Doman as the Lady Basene.

  • She went by the name Maisia when her and Sammael were showing Sevanna and the Shaido Wise Ones the Call Box.

Ishamael (Elan Morin Tedronai)
The Eye of the World, Prologue

  • Strongest of the Forsaken, and more than slightly Insane.

  • Was only partially sealed in the bore. Was responsible for the War of a hundred years, and the Trolloc Wars.

  • Rand killed him at the end of TDR.

  • More than likely he has been reborn as Moridin, but it is not stated directly.  Some clues lead to the theory and some don't.

Lanfear (Mierin Eronaile)
The Great Hunt, Chapter 48

  • In The Age of Legends, Mierin and Beidoman claimed to have found a thin place in the pattern that appeared to cover an undivided source of the One Power separate from the True Source.  This power did not have the restrictions of the True Source as it could be used by both men and women.  Using the One Power they bored through to the source of the unusual Power emanations.  What they actually discovered was the Dark Ones prison outside the pattern.  The hole they created has been ever after known as the Bore.  The Bore was not large enough for the Dark One to escape, but it was large enough to allow him to touch the world.

  • She was first seen as Selene, and later on disguised as a fat peddler named Keille Shaogi.

  • The second most powerful Forsaken next to Ishmael.

  • Very beautiful, long black hair, and very seductive.

  • wears white dresses, and a woven silver belt with moon and stars on them.

  • Her name means "Daughter of the Night" in the old tongue.

  • In love with Lews Therin, and now she is obsessed with Rand.

  • Claimed Tel'aran'rhiod as her domain.

  • Disappeared in a fight with Moiraine when they both fell through a Ter'angreal doorway.

  • Reborn as Cyndane.

Mesaana (Saine Tarasind)
Lord of Chaos, Prologue

  • Of average height and appearance, she is hardheaded, practical, and intelligent.

  • She is now hiding in the White Tower, and her identity is unknown at this point.

Moghedien (Lillen Moiral)
The Shadow Rising, Chapter 25

  • Also known as the spider.  Never known to confront her enemies unless she had the upper hand.

  • Has great ability with Tel'aran'rhiod.

  • Her and Nynaeve went at it a few times.  Nynaeve bested her the first time, than lost to her the second, and than captured her and held her prisoner under the name of Marigan.

  • Later rescued by Aran'gar (Halima), and now is in one of Moridin's mind trap.

Moridin (See also Ishamael)
A Crown of Swords, Chapter 20

  • Also known as the Watcher, the Wanderer, or Ishy reborn.

  • Tall broad-shouldered young man, with blue-eyes.  Appears to be around 20 years old.

  • Uses the True Power a direct power source that comes directly from the Dark One.

  • He has Saa in his eyes, a side effect from using the True Source way to often.

Rahvin (Ared Mosinel)

  • Schemed his way into Caemlyn and seduced Queen Morgase, using compulsion to manipulate her.
